Founder Lauren was working a desk job post-college when she hit a breaking point after experiencing the effects of a sedentary lifestyle. She knew it was time for a change and began her fitness journey through a personal trainer. The real change, however, began during her first pregnancy, where her eyes were opened to a void in fitness options for expecting and perinatal women. Fast-forward to today, FitMamasTribe has created a community working towards healthier lifestyles by offering safe workouts for women of all ages with an emphasis on pregnant and postpartum athletes. No matter your fitness level, each session is a fun, scalable, inclusive and safe method of fitness training

She has a degree in marketing from Stetson University, where she met her husband, Scott, and together, they have two boys. A lifelong athlete, it wasn’t until Lauren’s first pregnancy that she discovered a void in fitness options for expecting and perinatal women. “I set a goal to become a fitness professional specializing in pregnant and postpartum wellness,” Lauren says. “Fast-forward to today, and I have dedicated my professional career to empowering women who want to feel strong and self-fulfilled – inside and out.” A community built on uplifting and supporting each other, FitMamasTribe is more than a place to workout. With Lauren at the helm, the studio offers the opportunity for women to learn, educate and connect with one another. Maria is a classically-trained ballerina who began teaching over a decade ago at the dance studio she grew up in. She fell in love with Pilates as well as barre and HIIT training, and has been teaching these classes for 5 years. She encourages her students to meet yourself where you are, celebrating every little victory along the way, and to focus on the incredible things your body is capable of achieving. As a newer mama of a 1 year old little boy, this has become her mantra in a whole new way! Maria is incredibly excited to be a part of the Fit Mamas family and can’t wait to hit the mat with all of you beautiful souls!
Lauren’s Postpartum Recovery class series is amazing! I definitely recommend it for all of my postpartum mama friends. Lauren has taught me so much about my post-baby body, and I’m very grateful. This class is going to stay with me for the rest of my life, truly. Even in just a few short weeks, I noticed a huge difference, and am much more aware of my pelvic floor. Lauren is a great instructor and breaks things down so that they’re easily understood. She’s so helpful, cheerful, and a joy to be around.
